
Her research interests include corporate strategy, corporate governance, business history, and especially the evolution of large enterprises in developed and emerging economies. Her work has been published in such journals as Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of Management Studies, Strategic Management Journal, Business History and Corporate Governance: An International Review. She is also the co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Business Groups, Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2010, and Business Groups in the West: Origins, Evolution, and Resilience, Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2018.
In 2010 she was awarded the Tachibana Prize for the most outstanding female scholar at Kyoto University. She is currently the Associate Editor of Asian Business & Management and Senior Editor of Management and Organizational History.
